Microsoft to release Limited Edition 'Mass Effect 2' console bundle

New Xbox 360 Elite bundle announced

Microsoft is set to release a Limited Edition Xbox 360 Elite to coincide with the release of BioWare's hotly anticipated Mass Effect 2. The bundle includes a Xbox 360 Elite console with 250GB hard drive, two black wireless controllers, a wired headset and a copy of Mass Effect 2.

But there's bad news for collectors -- the Elite console does not contain any custom Mass Effect 2 artwork (as seen with the blood-red Resident Evil 5 console and Modern Warfare 2 edition). Instead, it's just plain old black one. Still, with an RRP of $599, it remains good value.

The Xbox 360 Mass Effect 2 Limited Edition console will be available at participating retailers from January 28th.
