Whether you're killing them or holding their hand, interacting with giant creatures is an enjoyable gameplay feature that is shockingly underutilized. With few developers outside of Team Ico capitalizing on the idea, there's a possible market that isn't being served. Namco's bringing a game of that ilk to the U.S. this summer, as the company confirmed a stateside release for Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom (known in Japan as Majin: The Fallen Realm).

According to Namco Bandai's statement, the game will put you in the shoes of a young warrior who is aided by a AI-controlled friendly giant who will aid you in fighting enemies and solving puzzles. Throughout the course of the game, the giant will "continue to grow and acquire additional abilities that will provide access to previously obstructed areas."

We're hoping that the growth isn't just referring to becoming more emotionally enlightened -- it's one thing for a game to include a friendly giant, but a friendly giant that continues to grow? That could be a game-changing new feature. We hope to assist in the growth of your knowledge of this title in the coming months.
