A Sound of Thunder is BAM! Entertainment’s latest in a string of movie crossovers. Based on Ray Bradbury’s novel about time-travelling tourists who rend space time asunder, Thunder will bring more than just a great story to the GBA. The graphics in the preview build were a marvel to behold in all their 3/4 isometric glory. The gameplay was mostly devoted to blasting hordes of monsters and solving box-dragging puzzles.

A driving level enabled you to take control of a car, whose tires provided zero traction, while you were being repeatedly stomped on by a dinosaur; some physics tweaks are definitely in order.

Still, A Sound of Thunder is shaping up to be an amusing adventure game and a fitting compliment to the upcoming film.
