Gears of War 2 to get longer campaign, improved multiplayer (News)

Epic Games' Cliff Bleszinksi gave GamePro a sneak peek at the second level of Gears of War 2 at Microsoft's Spring Showcase event in San Francisco Tuesday night.

Bleszinksi played through the second level of Gears of War 2, showing off the new graphics abilities (bigger, more detailed levels) as well as a new weapon (the five-shot Gorgon pistol) and an epic encounter with some seriously huge enemies.

Bleszinksi took questions following the demonstration. He confirmed that the single-player campaign in Gears of War 2 would be "longer" than the one featured in the original Gears of War, addressing one of the most common complaints about that game. He also said that the game's multiplayer mode would be "bigger and better," but held off on explaining any more details for the time being.
