David Jaffe: God of War 3 a Distinct Possibility (News)

God of War creator David Jaffe has made statements on his blog discussing his experiences designing God of War II, which he describes as "the second act of a bigger story." Though he stops short of guaranteeing a third God of War game, Jaffe mentions that he is "very confident of our chances to be able to complete the God of War trilogy."

But Jaffe isn't the only member of the God of War II design team who wants to see a third game happen. In an interview with Computer and Video Games, Sony designer Cory Barlog mentions that he'd "love to see a trilogy happen." He explains how he and series creator Jaffe "have a pretty similar view as to where the story of Kratos should go" and that the story "does play itself out in a trilogy."

The bad news: Barlog expresses that "there are no trilogy plans as of right now."
