F.E.A.R. Director's Edition DVD Announced (News)

Vivendi Universal Games (VU Games) has announced that Sierra Entertainment's highly anticipated and award-winning PC game F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) will be released in a 'Director's Edition' DVD format. The Director's Edition DVD will include exclusive content, including a "Making of F.E.A.R." documentary, a developer's roundtable commentary video, live action "declassified" interviews with Alma, and an exclusive F.E.A.R. machinima episode from Rooster Teeth Productions of Red vs. Blue fame.

The Director's Edition DVD will hit retail stores in October 2005. Widespread consumer anticipation for F.E.A.R. has been soaring since the single player demo was released on August 5, 2005. The demo reached an astounding one million downloads its first weekend of release - making F.E.A.R. one of the most popular game demo downloads in PC games history.

Developed by Monolith Productions, F.E.A.R. is an intense first person close-quarters combat experience with rich atmosphere and an engaging, paranormal horror storyline. Already named 'Best Action Game of E3 2005' by the E3Critics, the game also earned the "Best PC Game" award at the 2005 Leipzig Games Convention in Germany.

F.E.A.R. has been rated "MA 15+" by the Australian OFLC.
