In a take-down request sent to Kotaku, senior counsel for Sega of America unintentionally confirmed the previously leaked screenshots and video for Sonic Unleashed.

The request for removal was published on Sunday by Kotaku, in which senior legal counsel Tristan Higgins-Goodell referred to the previous leaks as "copyrighted work" of both the debut trailer and screenshots for Sonic Unleashed.

In other words, confirmed.

"Thank you mister lawyer man," quipped Kotaku's Brian Crecente, upon receiving official, though unintentional, confirmation in the form of a letter.

Sega is expected to reveal more information on the Sonic follow-up this May, reports fansite Sega On, who originally scooped the screenshots and video since pulled from Sega's FTP servers.

The resolution of leaked screenshots and suggests the game will be coming to at least Xbox 360 and PS3, if not more.
