First Details of Halo 3 Released? (News)

Though the authenticity cannot be fully determined, the time frame of the article does sync up with a small press tour Bungie Studios recently took with several members of the internal media, including EGM.

Nonetheless, the information here should be regarded as speculative until we can obtain final confirmation. An Xbox 360 Fanboy has posted a partial translation of the Swedish article and here is a brief summary of the new features:

New Features

• Spiker: a Brute weapon
• Spartan Laser: can "tear vehicles apart"
• Nail Grenade: sticks to walls and blasts shrapnel everywhere
• Mongoose: the ATV that was in the first trailers for Halo 2 but was cut before launch
• "Man Cannon": a device that can launch a Spartan far across the battlefield
• Dual-Wield Reload: the L and R bumpers serve to independently reload your left and right weapons, respectively
• The X button: has a "new, still secret feature"
• Master Chief's secondary weapon: now visible on him at all times, slung over his shoulder

Also, the final version of the game is expected to ship in a 4-DVD "Legendary" edition that includes the game, documentaries, some Red Vs. Blue fan machinima, and other previously unseen content.
