Details of the Gears of War 2 Limited Edition surfaced Tuesday, including word that the package includes a rather peculiar photograph.

Do you need the full Gears of War 2 experience, and have a little extra scratch on hand to pay for it? Good, because details for the Gears of War 2 Limited Edition hit the Internet Tuesday, and it means the popular sequel comes with a few extras.

Those extras include "Beneath the Surface," a 48-page hard cover behind-the-scenes book; a DVD with a making-of Gears feature and interviews with the development team; as well as a special code that will allow players to access a special gold Lancer in the online multiplayer mode.

The package also includes a touching photo. Perhaps Epic is trying to show the softer side of the Gears franchise?

The Gears of War 2 Limited Edition comes packaged in an oversize DVD case and is scheduled to arrive on November 7 for $70.
