Subject Title - " Steam and HL2: GOTY "

I recently bought Half Life 2 and when i installed it after the first disc is done it says 'please put in half life 2 disc 2'. So i put it in and click ok, 30 seconds later it comes with the same message telling me to put the disc in that is already in there. I finally got it installed and then Steam wasn't working!!! So i couldn't play HL2 and any of the other stuff it came with.I uninstalled steam and HL2 and now when i install it, it says
'please put in half life 2 disc 2'. I put it in and it doesnt work... cna someone help me!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!
