Revolution is the new codename for Nintendo's next home system. Mr Iwata came out at E3 and said a few comments about the Revolution. He said, "New and better technology is good, but the days of just beefing up a home system are over. The Revolution will be a new way of doing things. When we release the next home system there will be a gaming revolution." Mr Iwata also stated that Nintendo is about being different, citing the numerous innovations that Nintendo have come up with, rumble pak, analogue stick, true 3-D.

What are your thoughts on the Revolution and what do you think Nintendo are going to incorporate into their next system. Personally, I want to be able to control video games through a motion-capture suit...but that's probably not going to happen.

I think the only thing that is left to complete the gaming revolution is a setup like the one in total recall, you know, where they plug some stuff onto your head and kaboom! your in your own fantasy world. How AWESOME would that be ! You could play out your childhood fantasies of being an astronaut or pilot, or whatever. That is what I would call a true revoluion. I think we have the technology to make it happen. Then we would say hasta la vista baby to controllers, consoles and memory cards !!!!

i'm on a "wait and see" standpoint with nintendo's next console. If it is as revolutionary as Iwata states, then i will be the first in line to grab one. It's just that i've heard nintendo make promises in the past already and not fulfill them, so i'm a little skeptical right now.

i'm gunning for them though. God knows this industry is in dire need of a revolution.

I think the Revolution could be just what Ninty need to get back into the frontlines of the console wars however i'm still a bit sceptical. I'm a true diehard ninty fan however and the comments about "its not the power of the machine thats important but what you do with that counts" have me on Nintys side. I mean look at what the next Zelda game appears to be able to do.
