I saw the final installment of the matrix last night. Is it just me or is that movie just plain confusing? Or is this a cinematic masterpiece which has insights into the human race which I am too thick to follow. PS/ Monica Bellucci's performance is top rate however.

I think as a trilogy its pretty good ... but reckon you need to watch them all in one sitting to really make sense of it.

I think the second film was the best. With the final, I spent the first 30 mins trying to remember who everyone was.

I reckon the first was the most intriguing and the second and third installments were all about pushing the boundary in graphic technology and the story was secondary.

But I do like Bellucci's ample screen presence ;-) she needed MORE screen time this time around not less!

(Incoming spoilers) OMG Revolutions was SO mad. The best scen was the human's vs the centinals. That was just class. Revolutions is also way gorier than the last two. Lol call me a sadist but I laughed when that captain guy got slashed big time by the centinals. But yeah the third ione was WAY better than the last two.
Plus its also less confusing. Thats the only Matrix installment in which I knew what the hell was going on. I had to watch Reloaded 5 times to have a small idea on what was going on lol....well not that many times....about 3. ^_^

Revolutions... hah. The first one was the best by far. Seriously, in this one the characters were so bland. In the first however.. they... just... weren't. Yeah. 0_o

i like the first and second the most, cant deciede which i like the most. Revolutions was good, only because it sort of completed the story. (spoiler coming up). guys were saying that neo died at the end when he is motionless on the mechine, so if he was dead, that means that he wasnt the one, because in the first one, Morpheous was saying that the prophecy about The One said that he will bring the end of the matrix, which he didn't he just destroyed Smith. Also in the first one, Morpheous was saying that he wouldn't believe that the human race were being used as batteries untill he saw it with his own eyes, but in Revolutions, when neo wants to go to the machines, they say that no one has ever been within 100km of it. Whats up with that?

I think Morpheus meant that no one has been 100 km from the machine city and returned to tell what they saw.

what happened was the per what The Oracle said, The One would fulfill the prophecy. Neo did that. He stopped the war with the machines so he has to go back to The Source which is what happened.

Thats not what happened. The Prophercy said that The One would bring the end of the matrix. Neo didn't, he just stopped the war. The machine city wasn't the source, the source was behined the other door in the office of the Architect. Because he was supposed to go to the source (the other door)and pick some other people, and re populate Zion after the machines destroyed it.

An awesome first movie let down by Mediocre sequels. Although was anyone really expecting any of the sequels to have the same brilliance as the first?

mm interesting..the first is a classic..the second were sequences linked together..the third was better more like the first..but still open ended..

The first Matrix was good but all the others were pretty bad.

The first film was awesome - why did they have to make sequels?
