After waiting a good two and a half years for this game I got it the day it came out. After playing it for a good while, I have come to the conclusion that it's more of a Halo 1.5 than a true sequel.

Worth the wait?

i think that it is Halo 2 and not 1.5..

Best game ever would have to be zelda series .. they truly revolutionised gaming to what it is today .. Great story telling, awesome puzzles, the list goes on ..

if you can't be man enough to put your name to something you write, then don't go slagging off at other consoles.

I have both and there's room in most peoples homes for them. There's good and bad on all consoles, some people do prefer one over the other, as well as the games on them.

Halo 2 is an excellent game and for it's Genre' it's the best by fare. GTA:SA isn't in it's Genre's so it's a bit pointless comparing them both. Bit like saying that Formular 1 cars are better than VW's . . . Both are vehicles, but poles apart at the same time.

Halo 2 is a continuation of the story we saw in Halo: CE, as will Halo 3 be a continuation of Halo 2, it tells you so and is set up in the story line to do so. It might not be out real soon, and I hope it's not. But when it does come out, it too will be worth the wait, especially if it's on Xenon (Xbox 2- Xbox Next)

I have KillZone for my PS2, and while it's "good", it's not a match on Halo2 as it was touted as being. Even the Official US PS2 mag agreed with that one and clearly stated so in its review of KillZone.

So please don't go saying one's better than the other like you are doing, as they are equally as good in their own rights.

While I do like the PS2 and some of it's game titles, I do prefer the Xbox due to it's graphics abilities and the Live features, downloadable content and some excelent games coming out on the platform.

PS2 has had some great games as well, and I've bought them. I think I'm able to choose which one I prefer, especially if I have BOTH to comapre them to . . . do you????

Of course Halo 2 is Halo 2, The games are about the Halo's themselves
not MC, and Halo 2 explained far more about them than the 1st game.

I agree with Anonymous on this one guys ZELDA is still and always will be the greatest name in gaming. But how can you deny it(Halo 2 for cryin' out loud!), Halo 2 deeserves a 2(or even a 5). Again, whats up with the anonymous posting Mr.Anonymous, let your name out and with pride.

The trouble with "Anonymous" posters is, that no ones who's posting and which Mr Anonymous

No ones going to come and get you or anything like that. Doesn't matter what your username is, so long as you're man enough to have one, then that's all that's really needed. Imagine if everyone was Mr Bloody Anonymous.

No one would know who said what about who knows who, and who knows who says which Mr Bloody Anonymous said what . . . . So work that one out.

Halo 2 is halo 2. It will come out next as Halo 2.5 as a pre-loaded game only available on the HDD version of Xbox 2 (Xenon has been dropped as the official code name now, and almmostall details are being refered to as box 2)

Halo 3 will be some time off, but Halo 2.5, The Continuation of the stroy, will be out later this year on the Xbox 2's HDD version (Nth America release of Xbox 2 is penned for late 2005)

Maybe I'm just not into first-person shooters anymore, but I've got Halo 2, and it hasn't lived up to the acclaim for me.

I don't see how it advances the FPS genre? It's the same as any other shooter!

I have a game on the PC from years ago, Star Wars: Dark Forces 2. A FPS. A lot more interesting than Halo 2, me thinks. Massive levels, and heaps of them, an array of intelligent baddies, well-scripted, different objectives, just plain more compelling.

To me, Halo 2 just doesn't add anything that I haven't seen before in these sort of games.

and yes i do know about the game my cousin plays it and i hate it. Its is annoying, boring and dull.

and about halo2
i bought my Xbox on its release but all my friends have halo 1 and idolise it like a religion but i never saw what the big deal is as i find it slow and repetitive and halo 2 was not much different (Graphics were excellent though).

iv been playing halo 2 on live and i think after a while it just gets too repetative!!!
