Did anyone else go to the Driv3r night?

The on foot sections were alright.

I loved the slow motion button!

Do you think the PS2 version will be ready?

No didn't go, but I do have the game and well, it's less than impresive . . . .

NB: See the DRIV3R thread in this Forum or go to Atari's Forum site on DRIV3R:
http://atariforums.planet.net.au/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20650

There is mixed reviews on it, but my own experience of it is that it's "way below par" for a $US10 Million game . . Way below par.

Go back to school Atari, or hire some good game programmers, not cinemaphotographers. Sure the Cut Sceens are AWESOME, without a doubt the BEST I've ever seen to be honest. But the game, the thing WE play . . . well . . . anyone ever heard of "Pop Up" this game gives them a whole new meaning . . .

I played it on Harvey Norman's HUGE projector screen at Broadway the other day, and it looked %#@^&* terrible. Gamers standing next to me commented about how the pedestrians just "popped" out of nowhere, and buildings/cars etc "Draw In" right in front of you.

Now that IS bad for a game that has had THAT much spent on it . . . wouldn't you agree . . .

Cheers . . . . Merlin53

You shouldn't link to other forums since it will redirect traffic to other site. My need more people in this forum.

Actually, it's not against any rules to be adding links to other sites or forums. I am an active reader and contributer to many many forums. Most members of different forums usually have several forums where they contribute information, ideas and sites to visit around the platform they are passionate about.

Linking readers to others sites simply gives them choice. I have been on this small forum for some time now, actually, from just after the first issue of the Australian GamePro. I still return and know many others that do.

So rest assured that most people will look around, and simply giving them choice, is not going to send them away from a forum, unless of course, that forum doesn't suit their needs.

Cheers . . . . Merlin53 :-)
