Liurnia Rune Farm Location Elden Ring

Liurnia Rune Farming

Easiest Rune Farm In Elden Ring

Difficulty: Easy
Runes Awarded: 1,000 Runes

As you would expect, the easiest method of farming runes in Elden Ring provides the fewest number of runes. In fact, farming runes in Liurnia will only provide you with 1,000 runes per attempt. But don’t worry, you hardly need to lift a finger, so it’s a good place to start if you are a little fearful of venturing too far throughout Elden Ring.

To farm 1,000 runes in Liurnia, follow these 6 simple steps:

  1. Step 1: Leave Stormveil Castle (hidden path or not)
  2. Step 2: Head on up the eastern road to the Lost Grace of Liurnia Highway North
  3. Step 3: Look for a nearby battle between spectral soldiers and giants
  4. Step 4: Edge in closer until they have spawned and watch the battle unfold.
  5. Step 5: Once the battle has ended, you can collect your runes.
  6. Step 6: Rest at the Lost Grace of Liurnia Highway North and repeat.

This will bring in the easiest thousand runes you have ever made. Now, all you need to do is bring those brave souls back into battle by resting at the Lost Grace every now and then and watching the runes roll in time after time.

Caelid Rune Farm Location Elden Ring

Caelid Rune Farming

Best Early Game Rune Farm

Difficulty: Easy
Runes Awarded: 1,000 Runes Each

For adventurous beginner players, the best early-game rune farm in Elden Ring can be found in Caelid. Here, you will farm runes from teeny tiny monsters (trust me, they’re nothing compared to late-game beasts); netting approximately 600-1000 runes for every kill. Sounds like too few runes? Well, there are a lot of monsters to hunt!

To farm early-game runes in Caelid, follow these 8 simple steps:

  1. Step 1: Visit the Third Church of Marika in Limgrave.
  2. Step 2: Head northeast to find a hidden portal among the bushes.
  3. Step 3: Travel through the portal until you reach Dragonbarrow.
  4. Step 4: Activate the Lost Grace beside you.
  5. Step 5: Walk out the entrance and stay clear of the Black Blade Kindred.
  6. Step 6: Travel downhill towards the bridge and activate another Lost Grace.
  7. Step 7: Travel between these lost graces and farm every monster you see.
  8. Step 8: Keep resting at each grace to reset the monsters.

While each kill at this rune farm will only net you 600 runes or more, they will not hesitate to attack you. So, like any good soldier, the best tactic is to ride your horse through the horde while swinging your weapon like a madman.

Fortunately, the enemies here will never get wise to this trick, so once you’ve trampled the squadron of about a dozen enemies, return to the Lost Grace to refresh and begin again. An hour of this chaos will reward you with an easy couple hundred thousand runes, just remember to upgrade not just your attributes, but your weapons too.

Limgrave Rune Farm Location Elden Ring

Limgrave Rune Farming

5,000 Runes Every 5 Minutes

Difficulty: Easy
Runes Awarded: 5,000 Runes

For an easy 5,000 runes in Elden Ring, head on over to Stormhill where you will find five trolls stumbling around as if waiting for a brave adventurer to take their runes. Situated just southeast of the Lost Grace at the Warmaster’s Shack, for beginners, this rune farming spot will quickly help you level up whilst providing you with important combat experience that you can use later in the game.

To farm 5,000 runes in Limgrave, follow these 5 simple steps:

  • Step 1: Head on over to Stormhill in the Limgrave cliffs
  • Step 2: Visit the lost Grace at Warmaster’s Shack.
  • Step 3: Head southeast down the cliffside.
  • Step 4: Kill the 5 trolls and collect 5,000 runes.
  • Step 5: Go back to the Lost Grace and repeat!

While not as easy as the rune farming spot in Liurnia, farming runes in Limgrave is slightly more efficient if you can slay a few trolls in the process. Plus, when you’ve felled these five chumps, you can just go use the nearby Lost Grace and do it again!

Dragonbarrow Rune Farm Location Elden Ring

Dragonbarrow Rune Farming

Easy 40,000 Runes

Difficulty: Medium
Runes Awarded: 42,000 Runes

Another easy rune-farming spot where you won’t have to fight anything can be found over at Lenne’s Rise Site of Grace in Dragonbarrow. Here, not only do you have the option of farming runes for boulders, but you can also collect a sweet 42,000 runes by coaxing the boss that’s patrolling the bridge to take a walk through the poison traps.

To farm 42,000 runes in Dragonbarrow, follow these 5 simple steps:

  • Step 1: Locate the Lenne’s Rise Site of Grace.
  • Step 2: Head on over to the bridge where you will find a boss.
  • Step 3: Lure the boss through the poison traps on the bridge.
  • Step 4: Wait for the poison to kill him and enjoy 42,000 runes.
  • Step 5: Go back to the Lost Grace and repeat!

Now, on the off chance that the boss atop the bridge proves too troublesome for you, you can also earn a sweet 1,952 runes in the same location by simply heading under the same bridge that you’ve been avoiding.

To farm 1,952 runes in Dragonbarrow, follow these 5 simple steps:

  • Step 1: Activate the Lenne’s Rise Site of Grace
  • Step 2: Head down the path that takes you under the bridge.
  • Step 3: Position yourself in front of the trap at the top of the path.
  • Step 4: Dodge out of the way of the boulder.
  • Step 5: Watch the boulder squish something beneath and collect your runes!

Moghwyns Palace Rune Farm Location Elden Ring

Moghwyn’s Palace Crow Rune Farm

Best Late Game Rune Farm

Difficulty: Hard
Runes Awarded: 13,000 Runes Each

You wouldn’t expect crow hunting to be the greatest rune farm in Elden Ring, but that’s the truth! As the best rune farm for both mid-game and late-game players, each dead bird at Moghwyn’s Palace will net you a whopping thirteen thousand runes per roadkill. It is, without question, Elden Ring’s best farming spot no matter how deep into the game you have ventured.

However, there’s a catch. For new players, you will need to complete the Varre questline before you can gain access to this sweet rune farming spot. The quest is a lengthy one, yet, once you have completed the quest and received the Pureblood Knight’s Medal for your troubles, you’ll be over the moon that you endured the initial pain. It’s time to go rune hunting!

Follow these 8 steps to farm runes in Moghwyn’s Palace:

  • Step 1: Use the Pureblood Knight’s Medal to teleport to Moghywn’s Palace.
  • Step 2: Climb up the staircase and activate the Lost Grace.
  • Step 3: Turn around and jump down.
  • Step 4: Summon Torrent and ride around the edges, avoiding the monsters.
  • Step 5: Activate the ‘Palace Approach Ledge Lost Grace’.
  • Step 6: Look over the edge of the nearby cliff where you will see a crow.
  • Step 7: Shoot the crow, causing it to become aggravated and fall down.
  • Step 8: Once the crow has fallen, you will get 13,000 runes.

Once this is done, simply head on back to the Lost Grace, reset and start earning millions of runes per hour. No monsters to kill, no waiting hours upon end for beasts to spawn. Just a simple exercise of tormenting the bird brain over and over again!

If you’re looking to rapidly scale Elden Ring faith weapons, spending the time to reach rune-farming spots such as Moghwyn’s Palace is well worth the initial effort. After all, earning 13,000 runes per Lost Grace reload is far more efficient than some of the earlier locations we’ve mentioned.

How To Get More Runes In Elden Ring

How To Get More Elden Ring Runes?

If the thought of repeating yourself over and over again makes you cringe, don’t worry. Elden Ring offers plenty more ways of obtaining runes other than just repeatedly defeating random enemies at rune-farming hotspots.

For one, certain items found across the Lands Between can be consumed for runes. Golden Runes and Hero’s Runes can be found in different tiers, with each tier providing more runes than the last. For example, a Golden Rune [1] will grant you 200 runes, but using a Golden Rune [8] will net you 3,000 instantaneously. Additionally, other consumable items such as the Lands Between Rune and the Numen’s Rune can also be used for a hefty number of runes. Keep in mind that since these are items, they are not lost upon death, meaning you can stock up on them and use them when you see fit.

Here are 4 ways to get more runes in Elden Ring:

  1. Consume golden runes and hero runes.
  2. Consume Remembrances after defeating bosses.
  3. Successfully invading other players in PvP.
  4. Equip items such as the Gold Scarab.

While Elden Ring offers many ways for you to earn runes, your enemies will have just as many opportunities to strike you down. Stick with the rune farming methods listed above to speed up your progression to becoming the Elden Lord of the Lands Between.
