I have never understood why gaming chair manufacturers make so many different options with very little difference between each model. Yet, here we are! To give you a helping hand on choosing the right gaming chair, I have whittled down ThunderX3’s grand collection to just 4 of the very best ThunderX3 gaming chairs available.
Cut through the noise and make an informed with my shortlist below! 👇
Best ThunderX3 Gaming Chairs Australia
What you get with almost all ThunderX3 gaming chairs are solid builds that have been designed to bridge the gap between entry-level gaming chairs and more premium builds.
Naturally, there will be some compromise on certain features as we’re not talking $600 gaming chairs here. However, for the price you pay, there is great value for money.

ThunderX3 TGC12 Gaming Chair
Best ThunderX3 Gaming Chair For Most People
Price: From $279.00 » Lumbar Support: Yes Weight Capacity: Up to 150kg
Straight out of the gates is the ThunderX3 TGC12 as the most popular ThunderX3 gaming chair. Suitable for most people, the ThunderX3 TGC12 blends all the best parts of each ThunderX3 gaming chair into one sturdy and easy to put together package. While I personally prefer the look of the BC1 series, the TGC12 is the most purchased ThunderX3 gaming chair which leaves me in a category of my own!
As you can expect for a gaming chair that costs $279, the TGC12 series comes with a solid steel frame, a rocking tilt mechanism between 3-18 degrees and high density foam for comfort. There’s class 4 gas lift which will carry up to 150kg in weight with adjustable arm and headrests.
The premium leatherette is flush with a carbon fibre print with 6 colour options to choose from. The ThunderX3 TGC12 does not give you as much of a hug as some of the better Alfordson gaming chairs, however, it’s well balanced with great value for money overall.
Price: From $299.00 » Lumbar Support: Yes Weight Capacity: Up to 125kg
If you’re buying a gaming chair for your kids or looking for something that has a little more zealous than your everyday bucket seat, the ThunderX3 RC3-HEX is the coolest gaming chair within the range. I mean, it’s got everything most other ThunderX3 gaming chairs have but comes with an incredibly futuristic HEX 7 colour lighting module too!
Despite being supported by a full-size metal frame, the ThunderX3 RC3-HEX is best suited for smaller gamers, in particular kids and teenagers. There’s a backrest that permits reclining up to 180 degrees and adjustable lumbar cushions to play with until you are completely comfortable. It’s fairly average, but manageable.
I’m not a massive fan of the PU leather cover and would have much preferred leatherette or even fabric which the Artiss RGB gaming chair comes with as an alternative option to the RC3-HEX. However, the lights really steal the show when playing at night time!
Price: From $219.00 » Lumbar Support: No Weight Capacity: Up to 150kg
For gamers on a budget that have their eyes on ThunderX3 gaming chairs, the ThunderX3 BC1 CAMO is without question the best looking chair within the range; whilst remaining relatively affordable. No matter whether you go all out with the ‘military camo’ design or tone things down a little with the BC1’s range of standard liveries, the ThunderX3 BC1 will absolutely dominate your games room as a premium looking peripheral.
For comfort, the BC1 is arguably up there with the rest of them comprising of AIR Tech pinhole breathability and a built in lumbar support system. Personally, I much prefer built-in lumbar systems over detachable cushions and this is a huge win for the BC1 CAMO.
Despite lacking a class 4 gas lift, gamers can still adjust the height slightly and will also enjoy 3 – 18° rocking mechanism which some of the other ThunderX3 gaming chairs do not possess. All in all, the ThunderX3 BC1 is the best budget ThunderX3 gaming chair.
ThunderX3 TC3 Gaming Chair
Most Comfortable ThunderX3 Gaming Chair
Price: From $299 » Lumbar Support: Yes Weight Capacity: 150kg
Last but not least on my list of the best ThunderX3 gaming chairs is the ThunderX3 TC3 series. While the TC3 is not as good looking as some of the other mentions here, it is without question the most comfortable when gaming for long periods of time. Similarly to my top-rated ONEX gaming chair, the ONEX GX3, the TC3 series comes with AIRTech breathable pinhole surface that mitigates sweating.
When you compound this with premium leatherette, high density and enough adjustability with the armrests and cushions, the ThunderX3 TC3 might be a little more expensive than the rest, yet, comfortability is an absolute guarantee. There’s no s-curve design which is a shame, however, for any of you who game with a straight back, you’ll absolute revel in the ThunderX3 TC3.
Suitable for gamers who weigh up to 150kg, the ThunderX3 is a stylish and minimal mid-range gaming chair that delivers a good amount of firmness without a pinch on the sides. For larger gamers, you should look at the TC3 Max which can carry weight of up to 200kg which is testament to the frame.
Perfect for new gamers, teenagers and anyone looking for a solid build on a budget, ThunderX3 gaming chairs present as entry to mid-level gaming seats with a variety of features and functions. While many of the ThunderX3 gaming chairs look somewhat identical, there’s plenty of nuances with the shape of each chair to provide choice.
Personally, I am massive fan of some of ThunderX3’s budget options as they provide great value for money. The upper-end of the range is not overly impressive when you consider that you are stepping into a price bracket that creeps into Razer gaming chair territory. However, at the lower-end of the spectrum, there’s plenty to enjoy.
If I was to choose just one ThunderX3 gaming chair, it would be the TGC12 purely for it’s all-round build at a modest price point. However, with 38 styles to choose from, I’m sure you’ll have no problem finding the perfect gaming chair for your room.
